The Arkansas River brings adventure and fun. At Ozark Lake, fishing is good all year. Big, tree-shaded "Aux Arc" Park stretches along the river from the Lock and Dam. The beautiful park has a playground, campsites, boat ramps and gorgeous views of the Arkansas River. A majority of the park's 60 RV hookups back up to the water.
   
   
The Lock and Dam has sightseeing tours and, if you arrive at the right time, you might get to see the Delta Queen being lifted through the Lock.
  
Other campsites are within easy drives. The Citadel Bluff, southwest of Ozark, offers 36 improved campsites, a pavilion and boat launch plus breathtaking views of towering bluffs along the river. To the east, Reed Mountain Overlook has day-use facilities and hiking trails complete with wooden bridges and panoramic views of the Arkansas River and Ozark Lake.
   
Don't forget the White Rock Mountain and Shores Lake recreation areas in the heart of the Boston Mountain range of the Ozarks. Sunsets atop nearby White Rock Mountain are outrageously beautiful. Take Scenic Highway 23 - "The Pig Trail" - north from Ozark.
  
The scenic Mulberry River, 16 miles north of Ozark, is one of Arkansas' wildest, free-flowing streams. From its beginnings in the Ozarks to its confluence with the Arkansas, the Mulberry earns high marks from canoes and smallmouth bass anglers.
 
In town, our charming square has shops to be explored and interesting spots to dine.  We're a veritable "old attic" of discoveries for the collectibles and antiques enthusiast.
